#68: Anna Vassallo Re-Elected As ETU Vice-President
European Taekwondo Union (ETU) Vice-President Anna Vassallo has been re-elected for a second term.
She will continue to follow Sakis Pragalos (Greece), who will continue to lead the Union following the General Assembly of the ETU held on Saturday, 12th of April 2025, in Nuremberg, Germany.
Representative delegates from almost every corner of Europe convened for the event, where subsequent elections were held to re-form the committee.
Along with the elected representatives, appointments to complete the board were delivered by President Sakis.
Anna was one of four elected VP’s receiving the following votes:
Angelo Cito (Italy): 53 votes
Slavi Binev (Bulgaria): 50 votes
Anna Vassallo (Malta): 48 votes
Metin Sahin (Turkey): 41 votes
Important proposals and ideas were presented during the council meeting, notwithstanding that Europe is the leading WT scene on the global stage. Currently, Europe achieved almost 40% of the Olympic Medals in the 2024 Olympic Games. Furthermore, the continental union celebrated the 50 years of ETU in 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Association wishes Anna the best in her next tenure as Vice President of the continental union.
