Another historic result for Malta came by way of its recent participation in the European Championships for Games of the Small States, with no less than three golds, one silver and one bronze medal.

The National Lottery PLC and Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA) together announced that Gianluca Barbara (ITL) won the first IZIBET Elite Athlete Award for 2024; an award that covers the months of January and February.
