#30: Four MTA Nominees For Malta’s Sports Journalists Awards

After some serious results, four affiliates of the MTA have been nominated for a Malta Sports Journalists Association Award: l-Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali.

Last year, Michela Scerri (ITL athlete) and MTA President Anna Vassallo were nominated for the awards. It was the first time two MTA affiliates were put forward.

This year Michela made it to the semi-final of the Zaghzugha Tas-Sena’ (Young Female Athlete of the Year) while Anna has, again, made it to the semi-final of the ‘Ufficjal Tas-Sena’ (Official of the Year).

In addition, Ditmir Vodinaj (MTA National Coach) and Nathan Degiorgio (DAM athlete) bagged a semi-final spot for the Coach of the Year and ‘Zaghzugh Tas-Sena’ (Young Male Athlete of the Year) awards respectively.

The Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA) organised the event (the 64rd edition), together with SportMalta.

Active sports journalists who are members of the MSJA will now vote to determine the finalists of each category, and the winner will be announced tonight.

The MTA would like to wish the best of luck to its four contenders on this historic occasion!
